Number 3, The Yellow Stain of Fear

In issue 6 of X-O Manowar, Aric faces Ax. In the final moments, Aric steps out of the X-O armor:

Aric shows that it is not the armor that makes the warrior, it is the man inside the armor.

You wear the yellow stain of fear!

Aric, in a moment when it seems that Ax is getting the upper hand by disrupting his armor.

Ax has the Commando Class armor, it is not as powerful, not as strong, but Ax is much more proficient at operating the armor.

The fight is long, and pretty brutal.

Ax, of course is a harbinger with the ability to empathically interact with computers. He can “talk” to them, and make them function, just with his mind.

This gives him a bit of an edge going up against a man in technologically advanced and computerized suit of armor.

When Aric steps out of the armor, and defeats Ax, he give him the ultimate insult:

You smell of urine, Jackal! And you wear the yellow stain of fear.

Pure Aric.

X-O doesn’t get any better.
