The OTV crew tackles Mission: Improbable, the crossover between Archer & Armstrong and Bloodshot. This crossover extends between Archer & Armstrong #18 and #19 and Bloodshot and the H.A.R.D.Corps #20 and #21.

Our overall thoughts vary from great appreciation, to a lackluster response. So, of course, we discuss why.

Armstrong has some of the finest moments in this crossover, even though his role is really just comic relief and to be the strong man. We liked certain things about Armstrong’s role in this story, and other things didn’t work for us.

Kozol isn’t very good at being bad. We all disdain this character, but maybe that’s the point.

H.A.R.D.Corps, well, they’re still not that good at fighting.

Archer, however, man oh man. Archer takes center stage in this crossover. Is he likely to become Q from Star Trek? What about his crisis of faith? We talk about our expectations about how that jives with what we expect to see from Archer in the future. We also talk about Archer as a villain, and how good that would be.

So then Bloodshot. The man. He is featured in at least one of ours favorite panels in this whole crossover. What’s up with that memory of his – is it real, or would Bloodshot know the difference? We also talk about Bloodshot reasons for freeing the Generation Zero kids.

Bleeding Monk: We get an interesting question from a listener, which makes us reevaluate what we read in Bleeding Monk #0, and also leads to some juvenile humor.
