Unity was full of crazy, character changing events. Shadowman learns he will die in 1999, Kris has (and loses) her baby, and Rai makes a great sacrifice.

And, of course, Aric gets bitten in half.

The armor makes it to Aric in time to save his life, but at a price – Aric must stay in the armor for 10 years while the X-O Armor repairs his massive injuries.

Plus, isn’t that page incredible? This was such a shock to read when it first came out, such a powerful, amazing moment for X-O Manowar.
