Week In Review, July 7th 2012

Posted by

First things first, a little catch up.

Last week, San Diego Comic-Con started released more info about what’s in store for this year. Notably, the panel schedule. On Friday, 4pm, the Summer of Valiant panel. It is being run by friend of the show, Brian Wells, and you know that’s where we’ll be.

Rub it in alert:

I missed this one because I was here:

Pool in Cabo

Note that one side of the pool is also a bar

I had to go down to Cabo San Lucas for the weekend.

Enough rubbing it in, on to the week in review!

Monday:

  • Sketch Cover For Sale: X-O Manowar #2 has sold out, and is going to a second print, with a sketch cover by Arturo Lozzi. Another part of the news, the print run it sold out of is 23,000 copies. This is a drop from the first issue’s print run (as always happens), but this still puts this book higher than almost every non-Marvel, non-DC book being published, good news!
  • Lente Alert: Robot Six has a conversation with Fred Van Lente

Wednesday:

To our American readership – Happy Fourth Of July! Enjoy your barbeques, fireworks, and day off of work!

It is also New Comic Book Day! Most shops are open, though many for reduced hours. I made it in to my beloved Isotope, what did you get this week? Here’s what was in my pull box for this week:

  • Danger Club #3
  • Epic Kill #3

And, in other news:

Thursday:

Friday:

Weekend!

The weekend is here, and more than anything, this weekend is all about preparing for San Diego Comic-Con! Sean, Jonesy, and Elveen will be at SDCC this year, attending the Valiant panel, finding out what we can, and generally running around enjoying the show.

We won’t have an episode out this weekend, but should have one or two episodes coming next week during the show. We’ll also be updating the site as much as possible with cool news and experiences, as much as possible.
